Mouse Pad

Long time no see. Life's been in the way, but I needed to get back to posting; it's been too long.

This time around, I'll show off a temporary mousepad I created in lieu of an actual one.

I'd lost my nice mousepad at school, and as my optical mouse appeared to have issues working with any other surface, measures needed to be taken to allow it to work. I found that other mousepads weren't working either, so I had to make my own.

I took a hot glue gun for adhesive, a several layer thick piece of craft foam I had on hand, and after testing several swatches to see the effectiveness of the mouse, I chose some denim patches with which to create the mousepad.

Using hot glue, the denim patches were attached to the foam. The hot glue also slightly melted the foam, which with the rough surface of the denim, created a pretty strong bond.

The foam was just cut to shape, and voila! Instant mousepad. Worked really well until I picked up a new mousepad some time later.
