LEGO WIP #6: Reactions Installed

A lot of work done, and a lot of rework completed after. Finished up all the reactionary systems for each movement. Took some work to fit each one in and make it work as I needed it to. Ended up redoing a lot of the design of finished parts, but nothing serious, and it's fun that way. Also attached the appendages, but until it's rigged, not sure how it'll perform. For now, looks great; the next task will be bigger, if not the biggest: rigging all the servos to make the magic happen! That'll also include more rework to make sure they perform as needed. I really think that's a lot of fun though.

LEGO Project WIP #5: Lookin' Good

So, finally, after a decently long hiatus, I proceeded to get more work done. I'm pretty proud of what's come out of it. In fact, unless I cant get the next, optional mechanisms in place, this guy is more or less done, without adding in the rigging needed. We'll get back to those later.

Here we see the top section; I had a placeholder I thought might work in place. However, after realizing it wouldn't suit the need, I had to find the actual piece. This was a piece that I could never get rid of before, and now I needed it, of course it wasn't around. I managed to pick one up, and go figure, I found another one later. Spent a lot of time working on the mechanics for it, but I think I'm happy with how it works...

The total construction, top attached to the main body. As is noticeable, I had to take out the pnuematics. A little disappointed, but LEGO pnuematics weren't strong enough to move the whole structure with the added work. It's back to the original plan, which I redesigned the mechanism to work better for it. Excited to get the next part done; hopefully it works!
